All young people will find themselves facing moments that are new, hard, stretchy and brave. In this session we’ll explore how to help kids feel bigger and stronger than the challenges in front of them. We’ll explore what happens in the brain during stress and challenge, and how we can strengthen it towards resilience. We’ll look at science-backed ways to build courage, the simple “reframe” that helps children move through anxiety towards brave behaviour, and the powerful role parents and carers play in this. You’ll leave with practical, in-the-moment responses you can use to build calm, courage, and resilience.
