Where the Science of Psychology Meets the Art of Being Human

Stopping the Chase …

We think we know what want so we start the chase. We fight harder, run faster, hold on tighter. But the happiness doesn’t come. What if not the chase, but what we’re chasing that’s causing the trouble? There is no such thing as failure, only opportunities to grow. No experience is ever wasted but the experience will be repeated unless the lessons it is meant to teach are learnt.

There is a knowing, a gnawing nagging voice that comes with being on the right track. And the wrong one. This is intuition and it’s nothing mystical or magical – it’s all the knowledge available, conscious and subconscious, working together.

The only sign of the work going on backstage is a ‘feeling’.

If the feeling is to fight harder, run faster, hold on tighter, then keep going. If the feeling is that something isn’t right, then stop. Slow down enough to listen to the wisdom.

There’s a difference between giving up and knowing when enough is enough. Be wise enough to know the difference.
